Watch Hundreds of Thousands of Avalanche Fans Sing That Blink-182 Song

You could not have asked for a bigger or better celebration of the Colorado Avalanche bringing home the Stanley Cup on June 30, 2022. There's one song that really brings the fans to life.

I can't imagine having been at Civic Center Park in Denver for the big Stanley Cup celebration/rally, with thousands and thousands of Avalanche fans all around. Estimates say that half a million people were in Downtown Denver and the area, for the event.

From 1999, "All the Small Things" remains Blink-182's biggest hit, having topped out at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100. If you haven't been to an Avalanche home game at Ball Arena, you probably wonder what's the big deal about this song and the Avalanche?

At a majority of homes games, during a stoppage in the third period, they play "All the Small Things" and the 18,000 fans in attendance sing along. The team's DJ, DJ Triplet, started using the song to ramp up the crowd in 2019.

From an interview with NHL.com, DJ Triplet recalls hearing the song on the radio and thinking it would work great with the Avalanche crowd:

 "You don't even have to like rock, that song is just one of those feel-good universal tunes that you can't help but sing along to."

The tradition has even caught on at Colorado Eagles homes games, as the Eagles are the AHL affiliate of the Avalanche. The song really does get people fired up.
