After Nearly 10 Years, a Great Colorado Brewery Decides to Close
Take another off the list of Colorado breweries, as circumstances have once again conspired against a favorite spot.
It's got to be rough, pouring your heart into your craft brewery, only to be disheartened by the obstacles thrown your way. You've sacrificed, you've created, you've seen success; now, that's over.
There are hundreds of craft brewers across Colorado, it's amazing (to me) that so many survive for so long, at all. Coloradans do enjoy their craft beers, that's for sure. Sometimes that's just not enough to make it.
COLORADO LOSES ANOTHER BELOVED BREWERY
Being around for nine years, everyone behind this brewery has to be taking it pretty hard, that they'll be walking away from it all. Being a part of a craft brewery means being a part of not just an adventure, but a family.

WHAT IS THE BREWERY CLOSING IN AURORA?
The Denver Post reports that Ursula Brewery in Aurora, near Anschutz Medical and Children's Hospital, will have its last day on December 22, 2023. It sounds like the saddest Christmas party, to me.
WHY IS IT NAMED 'URSULA' BREWERY?
You might think that they're big fans of "Friends" and Phoebe's twin sister, but Ursula is the street that the brewery is on - 2101 Ursula Street.
WHY IS URSULA BREWERY IN COLORADO CLOSING?
According to the Denver Post, between the pandemic, rising material costs, and just wanting to focus on his restaurant (across the street,) the founder of Ursula is ready to leave the struggling industry behind.
