Coloradans That Love Pizza Need to Check Out This Award-Winning Joint

Urban Field Pizza Wins 2 Awards at 2025 Expo in Las Vegas

Having started out in 2022, Urban Field is relatively new to Colorado's pizza scene but has already won several awards and expanded in their short time. Maybe that's what happens when great minds come together with one purpose.

When you look at all the havoc that the pandemic reeked across Colorado and the world, it's really amazing to think that this little pizza chain started during the pandemic and thrives, today.

It was in early 2024 that I became aware of Urban Field Pizza, because that's when it was announced that they'd be coming to Loveland to take over a space left behind when a local brewery closed its taproom. By that summer, they were open.

Nick Swanson, the Co-Founder and Culinary Director of Urban Field has a lot of qualified experience as a chef and running culinary operations. He's been on "Guy's Grocery Games" and "Chopped," he's so good. So it should come as no surprise that Urban Field keeps winning awards.

In 2023, Nick and Urban Field Pizza came in 7th at the International Square Pizza Challenge in Las Vegas; this was Nick's first time entering the challenge, too. Cut to 2025, when he won again.

At the 2025 International Pizza Expo & Conference, which has been happening in Vegas for over 40 years, Nick won not just one, but two awards. Within the International Pizza Challenge for 2025, Nick and Urban Field won:

• 7th Place - Best Pan-Style Pizza in the World.
• 5nd Place- Best Detroit-Style Pizza in the World.

Many people in Longmont are fans of the original Urban Field + Market, and I can tell you that the Urban Field in Loveland is one of the trendiest places in town.
