Shaquille O'Neal coming to Colorado is one thing, when you find it's about him putting on a show at Red Rocks, that's another.

Everyone knows that Shaquille is a former NBA star; nowadays we see him on TV as commentator or selling us Home Depot or car insurance. To think that he's a performer, as well, may take some Coloradans by surprise.

It's funny, in a "weird coincidence" way, that Shaquille O'Neal was in the news for bashing Nikola Yokić's 3rd NBA MVP win, just a week prior to the announcement that he'd be coming to Colorado for a show. Hopefully, for Shaquille, that won't keep folks away from Red Rocks when he's in town.

What Will Shaquille O'Neal Be Doing at Red Rocks?

Many may be nearly shocked, like myself, to find out that Shaquille O'Neal has had a successful music career as "DIESEL - The World's Biggest DJ" since the early 90's.

In 1993 he released his first album, "Shaq Diesel," which made the top 10 on the R&B chart and sold a million copies; he's put out several other albums over the years.

For me, I guess that I've just not been paying attention when it comes to Shaq being a DJ/singer. It must be very satisfying to be successful in something outside of what you've been known for.
