Scandal

Madonna’s MDNA tour is coming to America and she may be attempting to head the scandal off at the proverbial pass. Apparently the beginning of the show features a lot of guns. With the scourge of recent gun violence stateside, Madonna seems to know her show may be a bit much for some.

She posted a bit of a diatribe on her official website.

"It's true there is a lot of violence in the beginning of the show and sometimes the use of fake guns - but they are used as metaphors.  I do not condone violence or the use of guns," she writes.  "Rather, they are symbols of wanting to appear strong and wanting to find a way to stop feelings that I find hurtful or damaging."

She adds, "In my case, it's wanting to stop the lies and hypocrisy of the church, the intolerance of many narrow-minded cultures and societies I have experienced throughout my life and, in some cases, the pain I have felt from having my heart broken."

Madonna explains that her show is "a journey.  From darkness to light.  From anger to love.  From chaos to order."  She adds, "I enjoy acting out this journey.  For none of us are perfect and we all have our own journey of growth to go on. I know people can relate to it."

"It's very important to me as an artist that my show not be taken out of context....It must be watched with an open heart from beginning to end," Madonna finishes.  "I am sure if it is viewed this way, the viewer will walk away feeling inspired, invigorated and will want to make the world a better place.  And this of course was always my intention."

She plays at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, then moves on to Canada for a few dates there, and then return for shows in Boston and at Yankee Stadium.  The North American leg of the tour wraps up at the end of November in Miami, Florida.

SCANDAL

Lindsay Lohan, who's on informal probation in connection with a 2011 stolen necklace case, is considered a suspect in another jewelry theft, according to TMZ.com.

The website previously reported that an interview between Lindsay and police about a week ago after she  spent the night at a Hollywood Hills home whose owner reported expensive jewelry had been stolen. TMZ now says that Lindsay and her assistant, Gavin Doyle, are suspects in the theft of 100 thousand dollars' worth of watches and sunglasses from the home.

The story goes on and TMZ further notes that the home owner, Sam Magid, is now telling authorities that nothing was stolen, but police believe they have witnesses who say Lindsay and her assistant took jewelry.

Last year, Lindsay pleaded no contest to misdemeanor grand theft after she was accused of stealing a necklace from a Venice, California, jewelry store.
