If you are deep frying a turkey for Thanksgiving, what do you do with all of that left-over cooking oil. The City of Loveland has some answers.

Significant problems can result from disposing of used cooking oil in household drains including clogged pipes, sewer backups and pollution of waterways. Clogged pipes within the home are the homeowner’s responsibility and repairs can be very costly.

Loveland residents are encouraged to bring their used cooking oil to the City’s Recycling Center, 400 N. Wilson Ave., this holiday season.

Hours

The Recycling Center will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 27. (the day after Thanksgiving)

Cooking oil can be recycled free-of-charge.
