Colorado's 42nd state park officially opened on Friday, with Polis and other members of his team in masks to welcome it into Colorado history.

Fishers Peak, formerly known as Crazy French Ranch, is located near Trinidad and comes in at 19,000 acres, making it the second biggest state park in Colorado. The first biggest is Forest State Park.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife has officially approved hunting on the property, and permits will be distributed for hunting elk, deer, bears and mountain lions. These special hunting opportunities, according to CBS4, will be chosen lottery-style.
