Peyton Manning Backed Project in Littleton Draws Attention
Remember back in the day when Peyton Manning played for the Colts and fans across the state of Colorado actually loathed him?
Then thank our lucky stars he chose the Broncos as his next - and final - home in the NFL, giving us four incredible years and capping it with a Super Bowl 50 win before walking off into the sunset of retirement. OK, he limped a little as he left, but you get the drift.

How could we have ever known back before 2012 that not only would Peyton Manning be a Broncos and win a Super Bowl, but that after retirement he would choose to not only stay but raise his kids in the state, and continue to give back to the community as long as he has?
And now, he's doing yet even more. This week came details on something that has been in the works for a few years: 1st Street Farms, in Littleton.
Manning is an investor in the project, and while a minority owner, the venue will draw from inspiration of his own life and contributions. It will be built on currently vacant land with a restaurant, event space and an outdoor field for sports and recreation.
The name and venue are inspired by the street he grew up on.
Construction is set to start this fall and is expected to take around two years to complete. You can check out more about the project from 9News in Denver.
