This is a little crazy. Remember the "Balloon Boy" saga that occurred back in 2009 as Colorado and the Nation watched live television in panic thinking that a boy was floating through the Colorado sky? Well that saucer that is so famous will now be for sale, in Baseball Card form thanks to a Loveland man.

A few months ago, Michael Fruitman, the owner of the infamous silver Mylar saucer struck a deal with a New York sports company to include pieces of the balloon in individual trading cards, according to the Loveland Reporter-Herald.

The card is included in the recently released 2012 Topps Baseball Allen & Ginter Relics Set.

"If this was the Mona Lisa I would not send it to them to be cut up, but I understand what this is," Fruitman said. "I figured this was a way that any number of people are able to own a piece of Colorado history."

Apparently Fruitman purchased the famous saucer for a reported $2,502 from an auction last year. The Heene family was not allowed to profit from the ordeal, so the money was donated to charity.

"December will mark 20 years in owning my store and we've never been able to contribute to a card product like this," he said. "I don't play baseball; I don't have a jersey that Topps would want, so this is as close as I can get."
