Northern Colorado Drug Task Force Warns About Fentanyl-Laced Pills
The Northern Colorado Drug Task Force and Fort Collins Police Criminal Investigation Division are warning the public about pills currently being distributed on the street that may contain Fentanyl.
According to the police, Fentanyl-laced tablets are believed to have caused eight overdoses in the last week, two of which were fatal. These pills were not purchased at a pharmacy.
On January 30, the Northern Colorado Drug Task Force and Fort Collins SWAT team executed two search warrants in Fort Collins, as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale of narcotics and the cause of several recent overdoses in the area.
The search warrants took place in the 600 block of Quaking Aspen Drive and the 1900 block of Pecan Street.
Below are images of recovered Fentanyl-laced pills.
The Northern Colorado Drug Task Force investigators are being assisted by the Fort Collins Police Criminal Investigation Division, Fort Collins Police Criminal Impact Unit and Larimer County Sheriff's Office Strategic Enforcement Unit. Anyone with knowledge of the source of these pills being circulated, is asked to please call (970)-416-2560.
