In October, Forbes Advisor released its annual rankings list rounding up the best places to live in the state of Colorado in 2022.

How Forbes Determined The Best Places To Live In Colorado

To most accurately find and rank the best places to live in Colorado, Forbes compared the various state metropolitan areas using data from multiple platforms to measure variable criteria for home affordability, healthy employment, and population growth.

Factors looked into in order to compile this year's rankings list include:

• population 
• median home price
• cost of living (for a family of four*)
• personal income per capita 
• unemployment statistics 
• community well-being 
• crime rate 

Northern CO City Tops Forbes Advisor's List Of Best Places To Live In The State

As per the publication's latest study, not only do two Northern Colorado cities rank among the top eight best places to live in the state - but one Northern Colorado city takes the number one spot on the rankings list, officially being named the best place to live in the state of Colorado.

That NoCo city? Fort Collins, CO.

Fort Collins By The Numbers 

"The honor of the most underrated city in Colorado may belong to Fort Collins, which offers a promising economy and favorable quality of life for families and young professionals alike", Forbes Advisor said about the Choice City.

"While the city population has been growing rapidly recently, the town is able to offer impressive services while doing its best to maintain a small-town vibe... for example, there are over 30 miles of well-manicured bike trails to navigate the city at any time of the year. Additionally, Colorado State University provides plenty of cultural and sports activities for locals.

Another standout trait is that many consider Fort Collins to be the “craft beer capital of Colorado.” The city is in contention for the most breweries per capita in the U.S."
