Nolan Arenado is feeling optimistic about this years unusual Major League Baseball season.

9 News is reporting that Rockies star 3rd basemen Nolan Arenado was optimistic and excited on a conference call following the second day of "Summer camp" at Coors Field.

In a season with a lot of pessimism about the legitimacy, Arenado told 9 News the Rockies are in it to win it.

This is what it is this year. If you have a chance to win a World Series and a chance to get to the playoffs I'm all about it. I think it's legitimate, we are here, if it wasn't legitimate I think a lot of guys wouldn't be here. It counts. There's a chance to win a World Series and I think that should be the goal.

We reported last week that Ian Desmond announced he will sit out this season in a emotional Instagram post. Arenado said he never considered it.
