The Weld County Health Department reports that the county has had its first death due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus with a man in his 70's.

Those over 65 are at high risk of contracting COVID-19.

There aren't many details, as the Greeley Tribune reports that the Weld County Department of Public and Health and Environment released the news on Tuesday afternoon, March 17, 2020.

The first Colorado victim of COVID-19 was an 80-year-old woman with underlying health conditions who lived in El Paso County.

At last report, according to the Tribune, Weld County had six 'positive' cases of the novel coronavirus; The Reporter-Herald states that Larimer County has three cases as of March 17, 2020.
