No More Bags Fly Free? Another Denver Airline Says “We Got You”
It's one of those things that we all knew was probably too good to be true for a long, long time - foreseeing the eventual end to Southwest Airline's "Bags Fly Free" tagline. That nightmare came true last week as the giant airline announced they would begin charging for checked luggage.
They really were the last to offer such a perk, but now another one of their main low-cost competitors is stepping up to fill the void created in the market by the major policy change.
Even better... Denver is their HQ, which means you have lots of flights to choose from as they serve many, many different routes out of DIA.
You know which airline I'm talking about and I know what you're already thinking, so hear me out. Denver based Frontier Airlines used to be one of those proud hometown brands back in the day, before becoming an ultra-low-cost carrier that nickels and dimes you for every little "luxury" you're used to getting for free from other carriers.
But now, in a blatant attempt to "stick it" to Southwest after their big policy change, Frontier is offering their own "bags fly free" style of promotion for what may not only be a limited time, but might become permanent.
Some airlines have changed. They’ve raised fees, taken away perks, and made travel feel like a one-sided relationship.
If your airline is treating you like an afterthought, maybe it’s time to file for divorce. Frontier is here for the rebound - offering a fresh start with an unbeatable deal.
All new bookings for non-stop flights taken through August 18th will receive a free carry-on bag, free seat selection and free flight changes with their 'Economy' package.
Additionally, you can CHECK a bag for free as well, for flights between May 28 and August 18 using the promo code FREEBAG, as long as you book those flights before March 24.
