National Dog Rescue Day: 5 Older Dogs That Need Homes at Larimer Humane Society
Puppies are popular, but a lot of work (Google 'pandemic puppies'). My family has always adopted older dogs, and they've all been wonderful, and tend to be calmer companions. Our most recent adoption was a 'fully grown' dog named 'Sophie,' who we quickly found out was actually only six months old (hey, you don't always get it right, but she's the beloved baby of the family). Our other dog is probably about five years old, a little cranky, and is on her third - but last - home. #fosterfail
Larimer Humane Society helps thousands of animals in Fort Collins and Loveland every year, and also helps families meet the right dogs for their homes. So, in honor of National Dog Rescue Day, if you're looking to add a four-legged member to the family, check out who's waiting for you at Larimer Humane Society.
