Five teenagers from Fort Collins will be taking the stage this week at the free CSU Lagoon Summer Concert Series. Their band name is Misadventured and they love to rock. This show is part of Little Kids Rock which has an opening spot at 6pm, each week at the concert series, before the headliner takes the stage.

Misadventured is a Fort Collins-based hard rock and alternative metal band made up of five young musicians ranging in age from 13 to 15. They have been performing hard-hitting and energetic originals since they first started playing together in 2017 upon entering their middle school talent show as Disciples of the Basement. Their school band director Phuong Nguyen (a member of the band 12 Cents for Marvin) encouraged them to begin participating in Little Kids Rock showcases at Washington’s, Open Streets, Oak Street Plaza, and the Music District. In 2018 they also entered their song Thundering Horizon (written by guitarist Skye Dyer) into a teen songwriting competition through the Poudre River Public Library District and received first prize and a trip to a recording studio to cut their first demo track.
