Windsor’s Hoedown Hill has added another title — concert venue.

Don’t expect a traditional hoedown, though, for its first foray this fall. Instead, the Colorado Plains ski hill will throw it back '80s style with two tribute bands and two familiar classics to christen the first Hoedown Hill Music Festival brought to you by High Country Beverage and Suncruiser on Sept. 27 and 28.

Friday night, Sept. 27, opens with “A Tribute to Rock Legends.” Colorado’s Eagles tribute band The Long Run opens for The Petty Nicks Experience, a cross-pollinated Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers tribute band.

The Long Run has been wowing Colorado for 13 years.

Take a sneak peek at the talented Petty Nicks Experience.

Saturday, Sept. 28, features talents sharing well-known hits of the 1980s from Asia and Journey.

Asia, featuring John Payne, will bring those “Heat Of The Moment” anthems and more to the stage with the singer who led the band from 1991 to 2006.

And Steve Augeri, Journey's former lead vocalist, will bring it “Any Way You Want It” as he “Faithfully” traverses Journey’s 25 gold and platinum albums as well as new Steve Augeri Band music.

Gates open at 5 p.m. each evening with the first band taking the stage at 6:30 p.m. and the second at 8:30 p.m.

The hillside outdoor venue is located at 1781 Raindance National, Windsor, Colorado.
