Nobody enjoys change, that's why news of this Downtown Loveland bar owners' plans not coming to fruition brings relief to their fans.
When a place has their kind of character, and a loyal customer base, it's going to be hard to replicate, when they do, eventually, turn things over.
They've been around for six years, will they be around for another six?
Loveland Tap & Tavern has a great little patio out in front
It was announced in December of 2024, that Loveland Tap & Tavern's owners had decided to sell the business and retire. They had big plans for a trip around the world, but it looks like those plans are on hold.

Dave and Kat Mayhew, owners of Loveland Tap & Tavern, are a great couple and are great owners of what has become a very popular establishment in Downtown Loveland. It's nice that we'll get to see them, again.
Why Isn't Loveland Tap & Tavern Changing Hands?
There aren't a lot of details, but it seems the person who was to take over the bar changed their minds.
So, Dave and Kat decided to just keep running the business, as they had, until a new suiter comes along.
Fans of not only Dave and Kat, but fans of the San Francisco 49ers and St. Patrick's Day too, can exhale a sigh of relief, at least for the time being.
