Loveland School Wins Colorado Potatoes Award With Hilarious Video
The Challenge: Produce a video where the theme is: ‘Why is it important to eat fruits and vegetables?’ Members of a 5th-grade class at Mary Blair Elementary in Loveland accepted the challenge- and won! Check out their video and what they won!
You really don’t associate Colorado and potatoes. I don’t, at least. That’s why I was surprised to hear that there was a video contest regarding Colorado potatoes and that a school in Loveland had won. San Luis Valley Potatoes put it on, challenging elementary and middle schools in the state to come up with a video promoting, of course, Colorado Potatoes!
Eight Gifted and Talented students in Stacy Libal’s 5th-grade class at Mary Blair apparently put together their video in only a week! They had to come up with an idea, write a script, film the video and then edit it. That is a LOT of work to be done in only a week! To have a talking potato in the video? Amazing!
Let's go now, to the Mary Blair Elementary School newsroom to talk about fruits and vegetables!
The Colorado Potatoes folks chose Mary Blair’s as the winning video in the Elementary School division! With that, they’ll be getting $600 for their classroom (for supplies and a party), and the whole school will be getting a salad bar for the cafeteria! Awesome!
I hope their party has a lot of French fries!
