Larimer County Made It Cheaper To Get Concealed Handgun Permit
Larimer County Sheriff Justin Smith took to Facebook last week (September 12) to announce that the government has lowered fees for getting a concealed weapon permit in Larimer County.
He went on to say that earlier this year he directed his staff to "audit the costs of administering the CHP program." After the review, Sheriff Smith found that the "true cost" of the program was less than initially thought. He directed the staff to reduce the fee from $150 to $132.50.
Sheriff Smith also took this as an opportunity to share that the Larimer County Sheriff has joined an effort by the DA's Office to promote "Safe Gun Storage." They produced a video (see below) that reminds gun owners about the importance of locking up their firearms.
