Larimer County Classified as High Risk Zone for COVID-19
Larimer County has been classified as a high-risk zone for COVID-19 by Governor Jared Polis on Friday. According to the Coloradoan, COVID-19 hospitalizations have been on a steady increase since the end of September.
The number has risen from four patients on September 25 to 20 patients as of Friday, October 9. Larimer County has not seen 20 hospitalizations for COVID-19 since May.
The 14-day average case rate is per 100,000 people is currently at 126. The current high-risk mark is 100 cases per 100,000 people. Increased cases have shown an uptick through September in the state of Colorado. Statewide hospitalization for COVID-19 patients has reached 369 this week. The current rate is the highest it has been in the state of Colorado since July.
