Where is the oldest home still standing in the state of Colorado? There is more than one answer to this question. It could be the cliff dwellings in Mesa Verde National Park, the ones in the Canyon of the Ancients, and then probably the structures still found around Fort Garland.

If we are talking about the oldest framed house in Colorado, then we are headed to the community of Glendale in the Denver Metro. Glendale is the site of Colorado's historic Four Mile Home, which is believed to be the oldest framed house in the Denver metro and likely the oldest framed house still standing in Colorado.
