Growing up, many children enjoy unicorns and dream of having one someday. Is this belief one of the reasons we love kids, and is it sad that so many of us lose our innocence as we get older? This month, dreams will come true for many children in Colorado, and many will get to finally live out their childhood fantasy. The Unicorn Festival is happening this month in Colorado, and it is an event that nobody will want to miss if they have ever liked or wanted a unicorn or wanted to be a princess.

Have you ever wanted to be a princess or own a unicorn? Were you disappointed when you found out they weren't real as a kid? For one weekend, you can live out your fantasies. The Unicorn Festival is happening Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23. It will be happening at Arapaho County Fairgrounds in Aurora from 10 AM to 5 PM both days. There will be indoor and outdoor activities, and it costs $25 per person for the entire weekend; a family four-pack is $89, and children 2 and under are free. Parking is free, and admission includes all attractions and activities, but you will need to pay for food or to run in the 5K.

There will be a unicorn corral where you can take photos, a mermaid lagoon for photo ops, foam parties, famous princesses and princes you can meet, face painters, and much more.
