While Colfax Boulevard in Denver may be widely know for Casa Bonita, Denver Biscuit Company, and an elevated crime rate, you need to dine at the coolest steakhouse in Colorado.

Not only does this steakhouse have it's own signature steak rub, the building itself is a part of Denver's history. When you walk in and down, or up, you find yourself taken back in time.

Denver has one of the most-exciting histories in the state of Colorado. You think of Molly Brown, you think of John Tabor, even the Denver Zoo has a great history. When it comes to places to eat in Denver, this cool place ranks right into Denver's history.

The building, created just for this steakhouse, is on the National Register of Historic Places, so it won't ever change; but why should it? It's too cool, as is. It's style is called 'googie,' which is about 'futuristic-looking' pieces. It dates back to the late 1940's and early '50's when a Googie's Coffee Shop in Hollywood opened with the very unique designs.

While the famous Googie's no longer exists, this cool steakhouse in Denver, still stands.

This great steakhouse in Denver is a place that Jackie Gleason probably dined at, at least a couple of his times when performing in Denver. The place has that "Hollywood in the 50's and 60's" vibe all through it.

The atmosphere is cool, but so is the the food. This joint is famous for their 'Sugar Steaks'- a sugar rub, that not only adds a fantastic flavor to your perfectly cooked piece of meat, but it also adds a really "cool" texture. I've had it, and I loved it.
