Here’s How Much Snow Fort Collins Is Expected To Get Monday
After a relatively quiet December in terms of snowfall, our weather's about to change with a storm system that will be barreling through the Front Range Monday.
All in all, Fort Collins is expected to see about 4 inches of snow when all's said and done.
According to the National Weather Service, the bulk of the snow is expected to fall Monday afternoon, totaling around 1-3 inches with another inch expected overnight.
After a Christmas Day high of 55 degrees, which was only 2 degrees away from the high temperature in Miami on Christmas, things are about to get back to a more "Colorado normal" today with the snowfall.
But the storm's not going to be a multi-day deal, as the snow should be wrapped up by the morning commute on Tuesday, with dry conditions returning and sunshine set to return to us on Wednesday, with temps inching back near 40.
Obviously, when the snow comes, the snow plows return to service as well. The city of Fort Collins has over a dozen snow plows that take care of our roads and keep them as clear and safe as possible.
If you've ever wondered how they decide which roads to hit first, thanks to the Coloradoan, we have that info HERE.
