Harlem Globetrotters 100th Anniversary Tour Hits Colorado in 2026
It's great that Colorado is a part of such a big anniversary; better still is how the Globetrotters' 100th Anniversary Tour will be hitting three cities including Loveland. The Globetrotters are a show that every generation should see, especially when the team is hitting the century mark.
Who Was President When the Harlem Globetrotters Began?
The Harlem Globetrotters got their start during the 'Roaring Twenties' which were spurred on by President Calvin Coolidge's economic decisions. The Globetrotters often meet with sitting Presidents; the Globetrotters seem to be as much a symbol of America as the White House.
Those who grew up in the 70s and 80s have fond memories of not only seeing the Globetrotters have games broadcasted on TV, but they always seem to show up on shows, including their own cartoon that ran in the early 70s. Names like Meadowlark Lemon, Wilt Chamberlin, Curly Neal, and Geese Ausbie bring back great memories.
How Much Do Harlem Globetrotter Players Make?
Making memories is what it's all about: getting your family out to the arena, getting some popcorn and a soda, and having the time of your life for a couple of hours. Just the though of seeing a pale of not water, but confetti being thrown at an audience member gives you a chuckle.

Globetrotters make about $67,000 a year, (some make around $90,000) and they earn every penny. Data shows the players for the Generals make a lot more; it makes losing all the time bearable. Did you know that between 2015 and 2024 the two teams didn't face each other? That makes this Loveland show even more of a "must."
