Grizzly Rose Adds New 2nd Country Spot

It was pretty exciting news in late February of 2025, when it was announced that Colorado's legendary Country bar would be opening a second location. It gives not only artists another place to play in Colorado, but also fans of The Grizzly another spot to hit up.

Colorado Springs Will Be Home to Grizzly Rose's Second Spot

Northern Colorado will have to wait to see if The Grizzly Rose wants to have three venues in the state, but it is good news for Colorado Springs. The name "Grizzly Rose" carries a lot of weight in Country music, but that won't be the name of this new place

Since opening in 1989, hundreds of thousands of people have entered one of nation's most-famous Country bars, The Grizzly Rose in Denver. Thousands of bands have taken to the stage; mostly Country bands, but also Classic Rock and other genres have been up there.

Our Country radio station in Northern Colorado used to take busloads of listeners who won tickets to shows at The Grizzly Rose. Those were fun nights, aside from making sure every listener did get back on the bus for the ride home.

The Grizzly Rose is huge, space-wise and in its notoriety; it seems everyone who has grown up in Colorado has been to the Grizzly at least once, if only to check it out. It really is a destination spot: the dance floor, the bars, the mechanical bull, the cowboys and cowgirls having fun for a night.

March of 2025 Brings Second Grizzly Rose Spot to Colorado

According to the Denver Post, The Grizzly Rose took over an existing Country bar/venue, Whiskey Baron Dancehall and Saloon in Colorado Springs and will be naming it Whiskey Rose.

Whiskey Rose, opening March 6, 2025, will operate much like Grizzly Rose in regards to days of operation, 18+ over for shows, all ages on Sundays.
