New Country Bar Headed Towards Coors Field Area
A fun night in Denver will soon include a new Country bar on Blake Street. It'll be perfect for going to after a Colorado Rockies game.
Former Sports Column Bar in LoDo Denver Will Become Country Bar
Sports Column was a sports bar near Coors Field for nearly 30 years there on Blake Street; it closed down in September of 2024.
Six months after that closure there was word of a Country-themed bar taking the space.
Sports Column was once named one of the Top 25 Sports Bars in America by Sports Illustrated.
It just seems fitting for Denver to have a collection of Country bars, as we are in the "West," and Denver has a rich history of cowboys. The Grizzly Rose in Denver often tops the list of best Country bars in America.

Country superstar Dierks Bentley has his "Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row" bar which opened in January of 2022. I've not been, but I hear it's a great place with "floor to ceiling TVs; I need to to check that out.

This new Country bar won't be far from Dierks Bentley's place, just one block to the west at 1930 Blake Street, between 19th Street and 20th Street, where Sports Column stood for so long.

According to BizWest, the bar will be operated by the same group that operates the popular ViewHouse, and may be called "The Saddle Company" with a mechanical bull as part of the near 9,000 square-foot bar.
That's plenty of room for dancing, drinking, and seeing concerts.
