Greeley-Evans School District 6 Expanding After-School Program

Greeley is expanding it's after-school program, thanks to a grant. Greeley-Evans School District 6 will expand the program to more schools starting next year.

A grant from the federal government for $2.2 million will add programs to East Memorial, Billie Martinez, Maplewood and Romero elementary schools.

The 21st CCLC program helps students, particularly those who attend high-poverty schools, meet state and local standards in core academic subjects, offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement their regular academic programs and offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children.

The after school program in Greeley serves about 700-900 students. The expanded program will serve another 300-400 students.
