The Denver City Council approved a $195 million contract with Greeley-based general contractor Hensel Phelps Construction Co. for the completion of the Great Hall at Denver International Airport on Tuesday (Feb. 18).

The city fired its previous contractor, Great Hall Partners, because of budgetary and timetable issues.

Hensel Phelps Construction Co. will complete the project that involves renovating the airport’s Jeppesen Terminal, security upgrades, new ticket counters and other improvements.

Hensel Phelps will begin work on the renovation in March, according to BizWest.
