Two wheeled transportation is a big thing around here.

We live in a renowned bicycle community. In fact, the League of American Bicyclists rated Fort Collins as a Platinum Bicycle Friendly Community. While the town is rocking and rolling in this category, there are still improvements that can be made, and the city is committed to continuing that forward progress.

The City of Fort Collins has vacancies on the Bicycle Advisory Committee, and they need interested citizens to fill them. This committee reports to the Transportation Board and seeks to increase Fort Collins’ excellence as a community when it comes to the way we treat commuters and recreators on bicycles.

Residents that serve as volunteers on the committee can help to influence the overall implementation of the city's Bicycle Master Plan.

If you are interested, simply apply.  Download an application from fcgov.com/bicycling. Applications are due Monday, Jan. 15.

Committee members are asked to commit to a two-year term and are appointed by the City Manager as vacancies occur. Applications will be kept on file for consideration when an opening occurs.
