Fort Collins Downtown Holiday Lights Returning in November
Tens of thousands of holiday lights will be shimmering along 22 blocks in Downtown Fort Collins this season, but like a lot of things, there will be a change.
I had called Downtown Fort Collins to verify that their Holiday Lights would officially get underway, like they usually do, on the first Friday of November; I was informed they are doing it differently this year.
Because of the pandemic, they won't be having a big 'celebration' on that first Friday of November like they usually do. I was told over the phone that it will be a 'rollout:' Non-specific dates, ramping up to 'all' lights being illuminated by 'early November.'
From the Downtown Fort Collins website:
DOWNTOWN HOLIDAY LIGHTS

Experience the magic of the holidays in Downtown Fort Collins under the brilliance of the Downtown Holiday Lights. Each evening, over 22 block faces in Old Town are illuminated by tens of thousands of twinkling LED lights. There really is no better time of the year to visit Downtown Fort Collins!
It's all about public safety, and the lights WILL be there, so .... ENJOY!
