Townsquare Cares: Feeding NoCo may be coming to an end, but thanks to your generosity, over 100 families will receive a holiday meal this year.

After learning there are 10,000 food-sensitive families in Northern Colorado, we partnered with the Weld and Larimer County food banks to get each of them a holiday meal this year.

It's an ambitious goal, but after realizing it only costs $25 to feed a family of four, we knew we had to try.

So many of our listeners stepped up, and we want to thank each and every one of you for helping to feed over 100 of these families.

"You have helped countless families and individuals," said Heather Buoniconti of Food Bank for Larimer County. "It's more than just a holiday meal for a lot of our individuals and families. You are making a difference in somebody's life."

While we are wrapping up the campaign, there is still time to help these families in need. Until November 27th, you can donate by texting NOCO25 to 50155 or by visiting feednoco.org.

Regardless of whether or not a donation is possible, simply educating yourself about the issue of hunger in Northern Colorado can make an impact.

"One thing we don't always talk about is the power of your words," said Stephanie Gausch of Weld Food Bank. "Just helping us get the word out [about hunger] is the easiest thing anyone could do...letting people know that this is a big issue in our community."
