It’s been decades since Downtown Loveland had an arcade. This new joint at Cleveland and 4th Street is the perfect spot to resurrect the past while being all new!

Loveland Pinball Flipside

Downtown Loveland used to have a place called Pinball Palace. It was at 4th Street and Lincoln. It had pinball; it had arcade games like Space Invaders and Galaga. It was great to be a 10-year-old back then, I can attest to that!  The building that housed Pinball Palace burned down years ago; now that space is an art park ‘Pocket Park.’

In late 2016 I had the idea that they should bring back Pinball Palace and put in The Foundry when it opens up.  Then, low and behold, in early 2017 it was announced that a pinball joint/arcade was indeed coming to downtown- just not in The Foundry. Fair enough!

The Flipside has opened!  It’s great!  Great pinball machines in great condition, old-school dome-hockey, ski ball, 4-person Pac-Man, Ms. Pac Man and air hockey!  They have a table-top console that has a TON of old-school video games like Asteroids, Missile Command, and Galaga. They have a full bar, too- featuring two smoothie machines dishing out frozen mojitos and Moscow mules!  Oh, yeah!

If you’re not paying attention, you may miss the fact that Pac-Man is right above your head chasing down some dots. The Asteroids art on the wall is great, as well.  Nicely done!

A majority of the games are only fifty cents; not bad at all.  This place, in my opinion, is going to go BIG! It has a great location, great games, and beer! How can it go wrong!
