Somebody was having some fun using the Cyndi Lauper hit, "True Colors" in a negative Mitt Romney TV ad, but Lauper wasn't impressed. Last week Cyndi Lauper took to Twitter to share her frustration about the ad.

“I wouldn’t have wanted that song to be used in that way,” Lauper tweeted. “Mr. Romney can discredit himself without the use of my work.”

“True Colors,” a song about acceptance, has been an anthem for the LGBT equality movement, and Lauper has said publicly she is a huge supporter of President Obama and his re-election bid.

The 1986 chart-topping hit "True Colors" featured in a negative political ad against the Massachusetts governor has since been removed from the ad which was also removed from YouTube.
