Back to school has caused infection rates to soar at CU Boulder.

Colorado Governor Jared Polis noted in a recent briefing that more and more young people (especially students) in Colorado are contracting COVID-19, which, in turn, will lead to higher infection rates in the community.

CU Boulder reported more than 300 positive diagnoses on their campus to date, while Colorado State University has reported 189.

According to Denver7, in order to combat these rising infections, CU Boulder is attempting to be more vigilant in their mask-wearing restrictions, and "those who are found to be non-compliant could face suspension for a minimum of one semester."
