The backpack that gives back. OK, they didn't ask me for a slogan, but I made one anyway. It's been a few years since I graduated from Colorado State University with Kelly Belknap (more than I'm going to say), but he's been busy in that time launching the Adventurist Backpack Co....and being featured in Forbes and stuff.

Belknap said he and his wife, Matilda Sandstroem, couldn't find affordable, high quality (and fashionable) packs for school, travel and nights out, which is ultimately why they decided to create their own for less. Their bags start at just $55, and you'll see Sandstroem's native Sweden's 'minimalist' influence in the design.

But, these backpacks aren't just stylish bags you'll find at an Urban Outfitters (that's right), or in a university book store.

'For every backpack sold, we provide 25 meals to families in need across the U.S. through our partnership with non-profit Feeding America,' Belknap said.

'With Colorado State University, we partner with their Rams Against Hunger program in order to donate a percentage of net profits from each backpack sale to help provide 'meal swipes' so that food insecure students are able to eat at the dining halls on campus and also have access to a mobile food pantry.'
