Did you know that in some states, like New Jersey, it's actually illegal for you to pump your own gas? Because of COVID-19, Kum & Go employees are coming out to fill you up.

I heard about this and thought back to the '70s, when Mom would ask, 'Would you mind checking the oil?' when getting some gas for the Pinto. Yes, a Pinto. A Pinto Wagon.

According to CStore Decisions, to make things safer for customers and employees, Kum & Go announced that they'll come out and pump your gas for you during the COVID-19 pandemic.

They are calling it 'Full-Service Fueling,' which does make me think that they'll check and add oil if you need it. There is no mention of them doing that, though.

If you'd like employees to fill your tank for you, give your Kum & Go's location a call when you arrive at your station. They'll send an associate out to complete the transaction and then pump your fuel, wearing a fresh pair of gloves for each vehicle.

You can also have them bring out purchased items. Both services will generally run from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Based out of Iowa, Kum & Go is doing this at most, if not all, of their locations across 11 states.

Maybe other fueling centers will also start doing this.
