With the holidays coming up and COVID-19 numbers rising in Northern Colorado, many are wondering if it's safe to see our families right now.

Governor Polis said last Friday in a press conference that if you want to see family over Thanksgiving, everyone will have to start self-quarantining. However, a recent study from WalletHub says you may already be in the safest place to spend time with family.

In the study, Colorado ranked #15 at 67.16% in terms of safety: but what, exactly, does that mean? The website scored each state on fewest COVID-19 positive tests in the past week per capita, lowest crime rate, lowest COVID-19 hospitalization rates in the past week, DUI fatality rates, and more. With those metrics in mind, Colorado came out on top.

The best state to spend Thanksgiving? Vermont came in at number one. How about the worst? No matter what, you don't want to find yourself in South Dakota, who came in at 19.7%.
