OK, technically we tied for the coldest temperature, but we tied with Minnesota, so yeah, you betcha.

Despite the fact we just had a 70-degree weekend in Northern Colorado, we woke up this Wednesday morning to our phones telling us it was negative two, negative three degrees outside right around sunrise.

That was rough, but it certainly wasn't the temp that scored us the honorable 'national low temperature' for February 5. No, according to the National Weather Service, that would be Gunnison, Colorado, which was 24 degrees below zero.

On the other end of the thermometer was Falfurrias, Texas, which measured 90 degrees, making it over 100 degrees warmer than Colorado today. At least it was pretty!
