Colorado Broadcast Media Work Together in Fundraiser to Benefit American Red Cross and Colorado Professional Fire Fighters Foundation
If you are looking for the right time to make a donation to the Red Cross that will help those affected by the Colorado Wildfires and the firefighters, today is the right time. Broadcast media all over Colorado are joining forces to host a live fundraiser today, Wednesday, July 11, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to support American Red Cross Disaster Relief efforts in Colorado and to benefit the Colorado Professional Fire Fighters Foundation.
The toll-free number to call on July 11 from 4-8 p.m. will be 1-877-667-6727
Red Cross volunteers will be standing by at Rocky Mountain PBS’ studios to take donations over the phone, and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the Colorado chapters of the American Red Cross and the Colorado Professional Fire Fighters Foundation. Callers will have the option to choose whether to give to one or both organizations.
Donations go directly to the families or fire fighters who have fallen, were injured, or who have suffered tragedy.
About the Colorado Professional Fire Fighters Foundation:
The mission of the Colorado Professional Fire Fighters Foundation is to provide aid and support to Colorado firefighters, their families and dependents, who are victims of tragedy. The Colorado Professional Fire Fighters Foundation was founded in January 2002 by members of the Colorado Professional Fire Fighters who recognized the tremendous void left in the lives of Colorado fire fighters when tragedy strikes. The founders realized that the men and women who sacrifice their lives, or are injured while saving others, leaves families with very real emotional and financial needs.
