Authorities are worried that the trend will continue. The FBI has asked the public to check out the surveillance pictures and "be aware of anyone similar who might have recently changed their spending habits or discussed coming into money suddenly."

If you have never spent time on the FBI website, that's interesting, but it's also a great resource if you have tips.

According to the FBI "bank robbery is punishable up to a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime."

There is actually an app that helps to catch bank robbers, it's called the FBI Bank Robbers App. The app is like an FBI public library "bank robberies can be sorted by the date they occurred, the category they fall under (i.e., armed serial bank robber), the FBI field office working the case or the state where the robbery occurred. If the location services on your device are enabled, you can view a map that shows the relevant bank robberies that took place in your geographic area. You also access surveillance photos, physical description information, robbery details, and the FBI’s wanted poster for each suspect. Users can also select push notifications to be informed when a bank robbery has taken place near their location."

There are two numbers you can call if you have any information. FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force at 303-629-7171 or to remain anonymous call CRIMESTOPPERS at 720-913-STOP.
