CDOT Is Certain Flooded Highways Will Re-Open by Dec. 1 [VIDEO]

The flood waters may have subsided (in some places), but the damage they caused is still affecting our day-to-day lives.

Highway workers and construction crews are tirelessly working to get Colorado's flood damaged roads open again.  Despite the incredible size of the task, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is confidently saying the roads will be repaired and re-opened by December 1st.

"We are talking about reconnecting communities temporarily. What we recognize with that short time frame is what we can get done. So, whether this is temporary bridges, temporary roadways, such as safe and passable gravel roads, slightly alternate detours, whatever it can take to reconnect these communities, that's going to be our priority," CDOT Spokesperson Amy Ford said.
