Cat lovers can rejoice because the NoCo Cat Cafe is finally here — or, we should say, feline-ally here.

Following a series of successful pop-ups last year, the cafe's founders, Kimberly Tejchma-Sanford and Christopher Sandford, announced plans for a brick-and-mortar locale in December 2021.

Now, that dream is a reality, and the NoCo Cat Cafe is open at 121 E 5th Street in Loveland. Here's what you need to know:

What is the NoCo Cat Cafe?

The NoCo Cat Cafe is like a regular coffee shop, except there are cats everywhere. The kitties aren't just for show, either — you might be able to take them home.

"Kittens and cats live in the cafe 24 hours a day. While customers enjoy their coffee, they can play with the cats or adopt one," the NoCo Cat Cafe told Townsquare NoCo. "They provide an interactive experience for potential adopters and animal lovers alike."

The cats at the cafe are from the Colorado Kitty Coalition, a non-profit cat rescue based in Fort Collins. The kitties are healthy, fixed, and ready to find their fur-ever home — you can apply to adopt one here.

How can you visit the NoCo Cat Cafe?

The NoCo Cat Cafe is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and from 12 to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

Walk-ins are allowed, but keep in mind that there is a $12 admission fee to cover operational and cat care costs. A $48 monthly loyalty program is also in the works.

What can you expect at the NoCo Cat Cafe?

Along with cats to play with, the NoCo Cat Cafe offers coffee from Dark Heart Coffee Bar, treats from Feel Love, and teas from The Spice and Tea Exchange.

The Colorado Kitty Coalition socializes the cats before they arrive at the cafe, so they're ready to meet guests. Still, remember to be mindful of the animals (especially if you're bringing children) — and please, leave your own furry friends at home.

Cat-themed affairs are also on the horizon.

"We will have fun events too, like yoga with cats and painting with cats," the NoCo Cat Cafe said.
