The legendary Mexican restaurant on Colfax may be having financial problems, as many employees are wondering what's happened to the money they've earned.

Casa Bonita, which is located in Lakewood, has been around since 1974 and has become a 'must-see' place whenever friends and family come to visit.

But now, 9News spoke with an employee who stated that the paychecks employees have picked up after the COVID-19 shutdown have bounced due to the dreaded 'Insufficient Funds' notification.

Hopefully, Casa Bonita can benefit from the $2.2 trillion stimulus package and remain on their feet. It would be a shame to see the iconic restaurant fade away.
