What Puts Denver On Cool List of the ‘Top 26 Beer Cities to Visit?’
If you live in the Denver area, be ready to see more visitors coming to town to witness for themselves one of America's Top 26 destinations, when it comes to beer. It does make us Coloradans proud, but maybe they could have kept Colorado off the list.
Tasting Table is a website and brand that informs people on food and drink. They'll talk about James Beard winning chefs, they'll talk about how often you should be cleaning your pantry out. They recently put together a list of 26 cities to go for beer.
The big blue bear looking into the Colorado Convention Center in Downtown Denver, could represent beer lovers wondering how Denver gets included on a list of only 26 beer cities that people should visit.
Those of us who live in Colorado know that there are many notable "Beer towns" in the state: Fort Collins immediately comes to mind, Boulder, Golden, etc. For Tasting Table to include Denver, Denver must really have something to present.
Do you have a favorite spot in Denver for a beer? I don't get to Denver as often as I used to, but if I had to pick one place, it would probably be Denver Beer Company - the original one on Platte.
WHY DOES TASTING TABLE PUT DENVER ON THE LIST OF 26?
It seems it comes down to quantity. Did you know that Denver has the "Denver Beer Trail?" They have so many brewpubs, breweries, micro-breweries and taprooms, that they've mapped the 150+ of them out. Note: The trail does venture into Boulder and Golden, which are near Denver.
DO THEY SUGGEST ANY SPECIFIC PLACES?
They do. Tasting Table would have you going to a few places: Station 26 Brewing is one; it's within an old firehouse, it was Station 26, so they kept the name. I agree that it's a cool place with good beer.
Great Divide gets mentioned, for it's "industrial" feel; I like Great Divide, for sure. It's small but solid.

Tasting Table also suggests, for food and beer, to hit up Denver Chophouse and Brewery. I've never been there; it sounds pricey.
