It seems like Lewan  & Associates was at the corner of Prospect and College for decades. As you drive by now, a big bank is beginning to take shape.

How many times have you said, "What this town does not need is another bank." Well, those in charge seem to disagree. This new bank started construction in the summer of 2021, and should be opening by the end of 2022.

Hundreds of thousands of people had probably driven passed the Lewan & Associates building without giving us much though. They served many businesses across Fort Collins and Northern Colorado for many years. In a way, they'll continue to do so when this new bank opens; According to The Coloradoan, the property is still owned by Matt Lewan, at least until the bank purchases it.

WHAT IS THE NEW BANK COMING TO THAT CORNER?

Alpine Bank, a Colorado founded bank. They are in over 30 cities/towns across Colorado, most of which are on the western side of the state. They've been around for nearly 50 years, and employ over 800 people.

It does look like it's going to be a nice building, with lots of brick and wood. It has a "Colorado" feel, in my opinion.  Also, as part of the project, they'll be keeping a historic bungalow/house that's on the property, but moving it to the south.

It's hard to really excited about a new bank, but considering that this one is on such a prominent corner in Fort Colllins, this will be a good fit.
