One of the most well-known names in the Fort Collins and Northern Colorado area is McWhinney. They own a lot of property in the area.

I grew up in Loveland, so I have heard the name McWhinney a lot, but most people in the area have heard the name a lot as well. McWhinney Boulevard, for example, is located at Centerra, which McWhinney Real Estate and Investment owns.

If you're not familiar with McWhinney, they began in 1991 as the venture between two great-grandsons of homesteader Johh Hahn (Todd and Chad McWhinney). They purchased 440 acres of Hahn's property and helped to create Centerra.

McWhinney recently announced that they are in the process of buying the beleaguered Foothills Mall, which went into foreclosure.

The Denver Post announced that Chad McWhinney has listed his penthouse for sale. The building, which is located at Park One @ Riverfront, overlooks the South Platte River and Commons Park directly east of the Denver Beer Company.

The asking price is currently $3.775 million through Kentwood Real Estate and Dee Chirafasi.

The near 4,000-square-foot apartment has two guest rooms and five parking spaces. A man like Chad McWhinney probably has several vehicles he could park there. According to the Denver Post, McWhinney bought the penthouse in 2014 for $3.15 million.
