46th Annual Longs Peak Scottish-Irish Highland Festival in Estes Sept 9-11
Estes Park will come alive, once again, with the sounds, smells. and sights that keep people coming back. The event includes one of the largest military displays in the U.S., The Estes Park International Tattoo.
For three days, Estes Park will be celebrating it's moniker as the "Celtic Capital of North America" with the Longs Peak Scottish-Irish Highland Festival. Music, food, demonstrations, crafts, throughout the weekend at the Stanley Park Fairgrounds and Estes Park Events Complex.
If you've been you know; if you have not been you need to. It's a great weekend in beautiful Estes Park, when this festival comes to town. For nearly 50 years, they've put on bigger and better shows with every year.
WHAT THINGS/EVENTS WILL BE AT THE FESTIVAL?
MUSIC
The Estes Park International Tattoo on Friday night, September 9, 2022, and Saturday night September 10, 2022, will be the highlights, happening at the Stanley Park Fairgrounds Arena. The tattoos will feature The U.S. Military Marching Bands and Pipe Bands, the Canadian Brass Bands, the U.K. Breas Band, and Highland dancers.
Throughout the weekend, you'll find many Celtic and Irish bands, pipe bands, and even the International Mountain Pipe Band Competition, Grades 4, and 3, as well as the Ceilidh Rock concert on Saturday night.
STRONG MEN AND STRONG WOMEN COMPETITION
Friday morning at 8 a.m. competitors in men's and women's divisions will compete in feats of strength competitions.
DISK DOGS
One of the demonstration events at the festival will be dog displaying their agility with disks as well as sheepherding.
PARADE
The annual parade in Downtown Estes for the festival will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, leading up to that day's official welcoming ceremonies at Noon.
JOUSTING
At 2 p.m. each day of the festival, gather to see the jousting battles, to take you back to a different time.
WHISKEY
In addition to all the wonderful Scottish and Irish food at the Scottish-Irish Highland Festival, there will be a whiskey tasting tent open 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 11, 2022.
TICKETS
Gate passes for the individual days cost $28.99 ($8 parking not included,) a 3-day festival pass will cost $87.99.
