You Can Help Create a Beer in Loveland and Help Northern Colorado Veterans
Rock Bottom Brewery at the Promenade Shops at Centerra just tapped a new beer in honor of our Veterans. They are also giving you the chance to design and make a beer- to benefit our Vets, but you have to act fast!
I often visit Rock Bottom Brewery- it’s one of my favorite haunts in Loveland; that’s why I’m excited to pass along the news that they are auctioning off a great deal to help our local Veterans.
On Thursday night (November 9, 2017), Rock Bottom tapped their newest beer ‘Veteran Pale Ale.’ In conjunction with the tapping, Darrin Moore of Northern Colorado Veteran Alliance was on hand. He emphasized how every day, 22 of our nation’s Veterans commit suicide- NoCo Vets is trying to help get that number down, as well as many other ways they help our nation’s heroes. They’ll be receiving funds to assist their efforts with a silent auction that is going on through Veterans Day (November 11, 2017) at Rock Bottom.
There are a lot of things up for grabs- Wine, massages, beer steins… One of the items up for bid is ‘Designing and Making a Beer with Mitch.’ Mitch is the head brewer at Rock Bottom. I’m a big fan of that guy! The starting bid is/was $150. I think it would be a ton of fun to come up with a beer, and then MAKE that beer with a professional brewmaster!
What kind of beer would you want to make? What would you call it? How good would you feel knowing that your winning bid helped local Veterans AND you are drinking a beer you helped create?
Get over to Rock Bottom before they close at midnight on Veterans Day!
